The legend,
UNFOLDING IN CHAPTERS.

A Belgian motorcycle marque, shaped by passion, defined by craftsmanship.

Our story

Royal Nord was born from a racing family, whose legacy was sealed in 1924, when Achille Hufkens won the legendary Bol d’Or in the 350cc class. When his brother Jean founded the Royal Nord factory for lightweight motorcycles, Achille joined him, racing and winning together on Sarolea and Gillet machines.

From endurance tracks to the workshop floor, their shared pursuit of speed and precision forged a brand built on competition, craftsmanship, and enduring passion, before production ceased in 1964.

The story of Royal Nord is not just found in archives or blueprints; it lives in the garages, photo albums, and memories of the people who rode, repaired, and built these iconic machines.

As we work to document the definitive history of the Hufkens brothers and their mechanical contributions to Belgium, we invite you to be part of the journey. We are looking for authentic materials to help us complete the Royal Nord puzzle.
